On behalf of the Organising Committee of the 58th Brazilian Congress of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, organised by the Brazilian Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (SBFTE), we are delighted to invite you to join us from 20–23 Ocotber 2026 in João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil.
This edition of the congress will be particularly significant as we celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, 60 years of SBFTE, marking six decades of outstanding contributions to pharmacology and experimental therapeutics in Brazil. Hosting the meeting in João Pessoa also highlights the growing scientific strength of Brazil’s Northeast, a region renowned for its rich culture, biodiversity, and expanding academic community.
The congress will feature a dynamic scientific programme including symposia, keynote lectures, and presentations by distinguished national and international speakers, alongside the participation of hundreds of young investigators and students. Traditional highlights include the Rocha e Silva Memorial Lecture, the III Brazilian Women in Pharmacology Award, and the José Ribeiro Young Investigator Award. The programme will also include the Second Exhibition of Science and Art, celebrating the dialogue between scientific discovery and artistic expression of our members.
Together, these activities will create a vibrant and inclusive environment for exchanging ideas, fostering collaboration and inspiring the next generation of pharmacologists.

The 58th Congress of SBFTE will take place from October 20th to 23rd, 2026, at the Centro de Convenções de João Pessoa – PB 008, KM 5, Polo Econômico do Cabo Branco, João Pessoa – PB.
Pre-congress activities may include workshops, short courses, and satellite symposia. Detailed information will be announced closer to the event date. Keep an eye on the official program page for updates.
The Congress is open to researchers, professors, graduate and undergraduate students, health professionals, and anyone interested in Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. Different registration categories are available with specific fees for each profile.
Registration is done exclusively through the online registration system, available from April 1st, 2026. Access the Registration page, choose your category, and follow the payment instructions. Early bird fees are available until May 26th, 2026.
Yes. The SBFTE Young Trainee Committee organizes dedicated sessions, mentoring activities, and the José Ribeiro do Valle Award competition exclusively for Master's and PhD students. This is a great opportunity to present your research and connect with leading scientists.
Sessions will be held primarily in English to accommodate the international speakers and participants. Some sessions or workshops may be conducted in Portuguese. Abstract submissions and JRV Award presentations must be delivered in English.
